Can I file an insurance claim abroad?
Yes, you do not have to wait until you get home to file an insurance claim. If you do not have an internet connection, you can call your insurance company and they will send you the claims via mail or email. The form must be submited.
For example, if you find yourself in the situation of experiencing financial loss while travelling, that can also be covered by your travel insurance policy. In this case you can file a claim with your insurance company as soon as possible, through the internet or by phone. Information such as the name of the tour company, the name of the policy holder, reimbursement form, proof of travel, proof of reason , type and amount of loss and insurance payment have to be contained in the forms.
The time between a financial loss and the moment you have to file the claim is usualy 90 days.
